En cursiva Nº4 – April 2008 To what extent are children innocent? Essays on childhood participation

“En Cursiva N°4” deals with the topic of childhood participation. It tackles the issue from different points of view and approaches, analyzing some aspects of that participation, such as the special characteristics and the impact on the social practices that involve boys and girls. This journal questions a sort of lineal statement that systematically associates the idea of childhood participation to a magical recipe against all the problems that arise from the relationship between generations. It dwells, among other things, on the necessary conditions and requirements this participation should have to be really fruitful.
